Meet a dental hygienist who becomes Lifestyle Blogger – Geraldine

We got a chance to meet Geraldine, a Lifestyle blogger from New Jersey. By profession, she is Dental Hygienist and started a lifestyle blog which will also cover topics in dental hygiene, food, travel, and product reviews.
Let’s hear a story of her journey as a blogger 🙂

1.  Geraldine, we have known you as a Lifestyle blogger. Take us through your story.

I started my Lifestyle Blog around August of 2018, a few months after graduating from Dental Hygiene school. I initially wanted to make a blog to talk about my Dental Hygiene journey, but soon after starting my blog, it evolved into wanting to talk about other topics like travel, food, product reviews, etc. So on top of talking about dental hygiene related topics, I am now covering various topics that interest me.

2.  What keeps you so positive and enthusiastic about what you are doing?

I think that constantly thinking of how and why I started helps me to keep going with my blog. The Twitter blogging community also does an amazing job with keeping me grounded and motivated, as they are such a supportive and loving group! I love the idea that I can keep my blog as a diary and be able to look back at it and see all that I’ve done and accomplished.

3.  What is your secret of getting nominated for Versatile Blogger Award?

To be honest with you, I don’t exactly have a secret formula or anything! You just keep blogging and stay true to your original mission or goal and eventually you get noticed and make friends with other bloggers. This leads to you becoming a potential nominee for awards such as these. It’s really fun to answer!

5.  Tell us who Geraldine is?

I’m the lifestyle blogger at Geraldine Talks. As stated above, it’s a Lifestyle blog and I write about a bunch of things! I’m also on Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram and you can find my social media links on my website! Besides being a blogger (because I don’t do it full time), I am a Dental Hygienist by trade. I love my blogging community that I’m in and I am so grateful for the many friends I’ve made over the past few months! If I’m not blogging, I’m drawing or playing video games and watching TV shows with my boyfriend.

“Stay true to yourself and remember why you started”

6.  What message do you wish to convey to new lifestyle bloggers?

Welcome to the blogging community!! Make yourselves at home with your blog. The first few months might be a bit hard because you’re just starting out but don’t lose hope and don’t feel like you need to conform to what everyone else is doing just so you can get views! Stay true to yourself and remember why you started. Engagement with others goes a long way and at some point, they will return the favor. The blogging community is for the most part really supportive so don’t be afraid to ask questions and make friends!

It was nice talking to you, Geraldine. I am glad to inform you, your story got published as our first post :). Your message is so helpful to newbie bloggers like us.

its wonderful to learn more about bloggers, and see why they decided to do what they do. It’s sometimes hard to find your place in the blogging community, especially when you have a niche
